| RHYTHM REVUE SOUL SURVEY COLLECTION WDAS (Philadelphia) July 1966 Philadelphia disc jockey Jimmy Bishop was one of black radio's most influential voices during the 1960s. Bishop started Arctic Records and signed Barbara Mason, whose track "Yes I'm Ready" was the label's biggest hit.
