ROY HAMILTON - THE PANIC IS ON

Roy Hamilton's operatic tenor was a tough fit when it came to singing soul later in his career, but he'd already had a large following among young music lovers because of R&B-oriented hits like "Don't Let Go" and "You Can Have Her."  Despite a run of excellent recordings during the soul era, Hamilton never had another hit after "You Can Have Her" made the top 10 in 1961.  One of Hamilton's best-loved singles among collectors is 1964's "The Panic Is On."       Real Player required.  Download Real Player here.
