The Blue Notes had been recording 14 years when they did this little-known song in 1970, one of two Blue Notes records on the UNI label.  This was the last release by Harold Melvin's group before they moved to Gamble and Huff's Philadelphia International with a new lead singer, a young man named Teddy Pendergrass.
