AVA LUNA
After a five-year hiatus, NYC mainstays Ava Luna return to the stage with a set of new music, a new lineup, and some classics as well. “Located somewhere between the control of modern R&B and the staccato angles of the art punk scene, each song is so powerful and crafted you can’t help but buy into whatever it is Ava Luna are trying to sell you” - NME /// "...addictive...listening to Ava Luna play off of each others’ quirks is intoxicating" - Pitchfork

STEFA*
STEFA* aka stefa marin alarcon is a genderless and genreless vocalist, composer and multi-media performance artist born and raised in Queens, NY. Using an amalgamation of punk, experimental rage pop, and classical minimalism with queer maximalist aesthetics, stefa builds worlds that offer a somatic decolonial respite for the misfits, the displaced, and future generations of Brown and Indigenous radical artists of the diaspora. Their ritual film Born With An Extra Rib won the 2022 Queer|Art Recent Work Prize and a 2023 TRANSlations Seattle FIlm Festival Jury Award. Their debut album will be released Summer 2024 on Figure & Ground Records.

YATTA
YATTA (aka. ricky sallay zoker) is a Sierra Leonean-American vocalist, producer, and composer. Characterized by textural electronic sounds, looped vocals, and rooted in improvisation, humor, and surprise, they have a playful, intuitive approach to sound and performance. Over the years, they have shared stages with artists like Beverly Glenn Copeland, Laraaji, and The Sun Ra Arkestra, creating multimedia performances that tour nationally and internationally. They have presented installations and performed at Les Urbaines, MOCA, Roulette, The Kitchen, RedCat, MOMA, The Tate, and The Getty.

This event is a benefit show to raise funds for the Palestinian Social Fund - https://palestiniansocialfund.com/

From their website:

The Palestinian Social Fund aims to involve Palestinians abroad in raising unconditional funding for cooperative farms for 3 main reasons:

1. Returning to and protecting the land
2. Providing a livelihood for workers that is tied to the land and our communal values
3. Achieving food sovereignty and breaking the dependency on the occupation’s economy for produce and employment

We decided to donate the proceeds from this event in solidarity with the people of Palestine and their struggle for liberation. We oppose the immoral occupation of Palestine by the US-backed state of Israel, and stand in solidarity with oppressed and occupied people everywhere.
